Green flags, Mexico, natural deodorant, and a Zara cart that's overflowing...
Happy Thursday friends! Lots of things happening on the (shop) archive front… we recently onboarded a new CTO and have been firing on all cylinders preparing for a launch by the end of Summer 2025 (AHHH!).
But without further ado, here’s what’s…
On My Mind
Appreciating: Men who consult your Beli list when making reservations. Green flag. Men who don’t make a reservation for a first date? Red flag. But I do appreciate them making it easy to deny date #2.
Mourning: JW Anderson leaving Loewe.
Wearing: I was in Mexico this past weekend for my dear friends’ wedding and I can’t stop thinking about my outfits. I wore this insane vintage Roberto Cavalli dress on the first night which really embraced my light spring energy (hello color theory). For the actual wedding, I stunned in a deep red Siedrès gown that I already want to wear again. Need some inspo for upcoming nuptials? I went ham in my last post…
Buying: My all time favorite activewear is *drum roll* the Butter line from Aritzia. Rogue I know, but it actually is as soft as butter and the color range makes things fun. They also never pill and are much more affordable than the Alo alternatives.
Trying: I recently read about the effects of salmon sperm peptide serum so I obviously had to try it. According to my in depth research, it’s good for uneven skintone, elasticity, and restoring the skin’s natural barrier. It’s made up of DNA fragments from salmon sperm which (apparently) has high compatibility with human skin cells due to their structural similarity (cool). I’ve been using the Medicube PDRN Pink Peptide Serum for about five days and love how it leaves my skin feeling soft, plump, and glowing all day. I’m excited to see its more long-term effects. Stay tuned for my two-week follow up review.
Reviewing: Speaking of skincare, remember the beef tallow I mentioned in my last OMMIMC post that I thought was making my skin glow? Well, I threw it away a few days later after finding one too many clogged pores. Turns out that glow was the result of the very best facial I have ever received from the Skin Witch in LA.
Reading: That book I mentioned a few weeks ago, The Way of the Superior Man? I finished it and can’t stop thinking/talking about it. A must read for every man (and woman that’s curious). My favorite takeaway? No woman is “crazy,” her man just isn’t showing her enough love. Praise her always and fill her cup. Overflow it actually.
Listening: If it wasn’t obvious, I’m on a bit of a self love journey and came across this podcast in my ongoing pursuit of growth. I’m pretty sure I’ve influenced like 6 people to listen along. Jillian’s approach to self-love and relationships is both refreshing and inspiring and the $5 I pay each month for her bonus episodes is yielding more growth than therapy ever did.
Watching: The Severance finale is TONIGHT and I’m anxious about it. What am I supposed to look forward to on Thursdays now? And how long is it going to take me to heal from whatever this show is inevitably going to make me feel?
Restocking: I ran out of a few of my favorite beauty must-haves so I restocked the following… Rhode Glazing Milk, InnBeauty Project Extreme Cream, and the Caudalie Vinoperfect Serum.
Committing: After six months of testing what feels like every natural deodorant option on the market I have decided that the Kosas Sport Chemistry Deodorant wins. Its only flaw is that it can be a little bit sticky when you start to really sweat BUT I don’t smell, it doesn’t stain my tops, and the more I use it, the better it works. For context, I tried ones from Salt + Stone, Caudalie, Nécessaire, Agent Nateur, and Malin + Goetz and they all missed the mark in one way or another.
